2017 Chibuku Super Cup Final Preview: Harare City vs How Mine

The 2017 Chibuku Super Cup will round up this afternoon when Harare City and How Mine clash in the final at Rufaro Stadium.

The winner today will book a ticket to represent Zimbabwe in the CAF Confederation Cup

Sunshine Boys will be looking to win their second Chibuku trophy after clinching it in 2015. Their impressive history in the tournament is a boost ahead of the match. They participated in two of the three finals since 2014. This will be their third appearance but it will not be any easy as the 2015 cup winners have struggled to win against teams from Bulawayo this season.

The Harare side face a team which have never lost this season while playing in the capital city. Chikurupati’s last visit to Harare came two weeks ago when they beat Yadah 1-0 in a league match.

How Mine are playing in their first ever Chibuku final. They have scored seven goals and conceded two in this current tournament.

Meanwhile, it is not the first time the two coaches will meet in a cup final. In 2013, in another league cup, Philani Ncube who was coaching How Mine then finished as runner up to Kelvin Kaindu who was in charge of  Highlanders.

The kick off time for the match is 3pm.
