Dirty Rufaro Affected Us: Kaindu

Kelvin Kaindu says the Harare City council should do more to make Rufaro stadium ‘tidy.

The How Mine coach said it was mind boggling that every time they come to play at the stadium its always filthy dirty.

“ I had to change my profession and do the cleaning. The goal posts were even dirty and we had to clean them. Harare City are owned by the council and they should do better. Everyone I spoke to before this match I highlighted this and we found it and I think the authorities must do something better,”said Kaindu.

“ So it was always going to be difficult for us but I am pleased with the way we played and getting to this stage. We could have won this match had we utilised our chances in the first half. We created a number of chances even at the start of the second half but we crumbled once they scored the opener,”.

This is the second time that How Mine has fallen in the final in a cup game after losing to Highlanders in the Mbada Diamonds Cup in 2013. Kaindu was in charge of Highlanders while Philani Ncube was the coach at How Mine.
