Harare City focus shifts to relegation battle in PSL

With the battle for the Chibuku Super Cup honours over and done with, the focus now shifts to the bottom teams trying to punch beyond their weight in a desperate attempt to haul themselves out of the mire.

Harare City lifted the Premier Cup competition over the weekend but will now have to Shift their focus on fighting the drop as they sit precariously near the drop zone.

City coach Philani ‘Beefy’ Ncube has said his team will now shift their focus on how to escape relegation from the Castle Lager premier soccer league after they lifted the Chibuku Super Cup with a convincing 3-1 victory over How Mine.

Harare City, who sit just three points away from the drop on the log table with 35 points from 32 games, will face Rhinos on Wednesday, followed by clashes against Hwange and How Mine.

“This game is history and we can’t go overboard celebrating. We need to plan and prepare for Black Rhinos. The next three games, starting with Rhinos, will be key to our survival. We will survive and have to stay focused,” Ncube said.
