Mapeza Wary of Tsholotsho

Norman Mapeza the FC Platinum coach is wary of the threat posed by Tsholotsho when the two teams square off in what promises to be an acid test for the Zvishavane Platinum miners on Wednesday at Dulibadzimu stadium.

The miners are on 63 points the same number of points with fellow Platinum miners Ngezi Platinum Stars however the Pure Platinum Play are on position two due to an inferior goal difference. The two Platinum miners are fighting for the championship with Dynamos also in the title mix. Chicken Inn who are on position four are in with a chance too as they are within a shouting distance.

This will be Mapeza’s second visit to the boarder town, last year he led his troops to face off against Boarder Strikers and they managed a 0-0 draw the result which costed them the championship. darlington Dodo’s charges are well known for raising their game when playing the so called big teams. They drew with two of the title contenders Ngezi Platinum and Dynamos. However his lads came unstuck against the Game Cocks when they lost 0-1. So Mapeza knows that Tsholotsho will be a potential banana skin.

“Everyone knows that Tsholotsho is already relegated and I know people will say they don’t have anything to play for. It is going to be a difficult game for us. If we go out there with a mentality of saying they are out and we are done I think we will be in for it. Its a massive game for us all we need to do is to go there and bring the 3 points that is if we want to maintain our push on the championship. We have to go to Tsholotsho and come out with a result”, said Mapeza.
