Destiny is now in our hands: Mapeza

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza believes his team could be crowned the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions after they edged Ngezi Platinum Stars 2-1 at Mandava Stadium on Saturday.

The Pure Platinum Play got their goals through Kelvin Moyo and Rodwell Chinyengetere while Ngezi scored their only goal through Michael Charamba.

The Zvishavane side will travel to Gweru to play Chapungu in their last game and Mapeza is confident of picking up maximum points.

“Destiny is now in our hands, all we just need to do is to remain humble and focused. We need to go to Chapungu and grind a positive result then I think we will be done,” said the gaffer.

FC Platinum are two points ahead of second placed Dynamos who are  on 67 points

A win over Chapungu will see them crowned champions for the first time in their history. The will is become the first team outside Harare and Bulawayo to win the league since 1966.
