UCL Wednesday Preview

Juventus and Barcelona will clash tonight in a Group D encounter as UEFA Champions League action continues.

The Catalans remain unbeaten with ten points at the top of the group and a draw today will send them to the next round. Barca travel to Turin, Italy for the first time since they were emphatically dumped out of Champions League by the Serie A champions last season.

Juventus are on second position and they will be looking to avoid dropping points to ease the pressure from Sporting CP who play Olympiakos Piraeus. Olympiakos’ chances of progressing to the last 16 are very slim as they sitting on the bottom of the log, with one point.

In Group C, Atletico Madrid host Roma in another potentially explosive encounter.

Madrid are looking for nothing short of maximum points as they want to close the gap and boost their chances of reaching the knockout stages. Roma needs at least a draw tonight to qualify while a win for Chelsea who play away to Qarabag will see them through also.

Bayern Munich will play Anderlech in a Group B fixture.

In Group A, Basel will host Manchester United while Benfica travel to Russia to play against CSKA Moscow.
