Joey Antipas has been sounded by Ngezi Platinum as a possible replacement for Tonderayi Ndiraya after the Madamburo suffered the agony of surrendering the league title with a loss to FC Platinum.

The Ngezi Platinum hierarchy felt Ndiraya lacked the experience to withstand the pressure at crucial moments, drawing against Chicken Inn at home which saw them surrender the top spot before extinguishing hopes of the title with the defeat to fellow platinum miners FC Platinum.

“ Joey Antipas was here and he was interviewed by the executive. They feel he has the experience after winning the title with Motor Action and Chicken Inn. They also feel that the exposure he had working in South Africa with AmaZulu will come in handy,” said the source.

Ndiraya took charge at Ngezi Platinum last season helping them win the Chibuku Super Cup. The club brought in a number of seasoned players and took charge of the league campaign on a number of occasions this season but wilted towards the end.
