ZIFA to engage Government over friendly matches

Zimbabwe Football Association is set to engage the government over the staging of the friendlies involving Zimbabwe and Zambia and the game featuring the Warriors against Bafana Bafana legends.

The two matches are part of events to celebrate the rise of President Emmerson Mnangagwa to become the country’s leader.

According to The Herald, the football motherboard will engage the government through the Ministry of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture given the magnitude and the significance of the matches.

Earlier this month, ZIFA worked with the government to successfully host the legends match between Warriors and Barcelona.

Meanwhile, the date for the upcoming event has been set for 23 December at National Sports Stadium.
