Manchester City equalled a record of 13 successive wins in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over West Ham United.
West Ham went in to the lead on the stroke of halftime through Angelo Ogbonna who headed home Aaron Cresswell’s cross.
City equalised twelve minutes in to the second half when defender Nicolas Otamendi struck home a beautiful effort.
David Silva completed the comeback in the 83rd minute, after brilliantly converted Kevin De Bruyne’s cross.
The victory sees City restore their eight-point lead over Manchester United, who they face Manchester United next weekend.
Elsewhere, Bournemouth and Southampton played to a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium.
Joshua King sent the hosts in front on the 40th minute. Southampton resumed the second half well organised and they levelled matters on the hour mark when Charlie Austin found the back of the net.
The draw sees Southampton move up to 11th spot, while Bournemouth find themselves in 15th position, five points above the relegation zone.
La Liga
Markel Bergara fired 10-man Getafe to a shock 1-0 victory over second-placed Valencia to leave Barcelona five points clear at the top of the Liga table.
Bergara’s second-half strike won the day despite the home side having to play for more than an hour with 10 men after Mauro Arambarri picked up two bookings in the space of four minutes.
Leganes came from behind to beat Villarreal 3-1 ending a run of four successive league defeats.
Dani Raba gave the visitors the lead on the hour mark, but the advantage was cancelled out 12 minutes later courtesy of Diego Rico’s goal. Nabil El Zhar put the home side in front for the first time with nine minutes remaining, and midfielder Gabriel sealed the victory in the in stoppage time.
Eibar beat Espanyol 3-1 as they moved further clear of the drop zone.
Kike opened the scoring in the ninth-minute before Ivan Alejo added the second goal. Eibar wrapped up the win with 21 minutes remaining when Joan Jordan converted a penalty. Sergi Enrich scored in his own net moments later to give Espanyol a consolation.
Jonathan Calleri scored the only goal of the match in Las Palmas’ victory against Real Betis to clinched a first league victory in 10 matches.
Calleri scored in the 19th-minuteafter beating an offside trap.
Betis, who had Jordi Amat sent off for a second bookable offence in stoppage time, were second best throughout and Adan had to make a series of second-half saves as Las Palmas eased to a precious 1-0 win.
