Harare City decide to pull out of Confederation Cup

Harare City have reportedly made a decision to pull out of next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.

The Sunshine Boys were set to represent Zimbabwe in the tournament after winning the 2017 Chibuku Super Cup.

According to H-Metro, club Secretary General Mathew Marara confirmed the developments.

“We are not participating in the CAF Confederation Cup. That is the decision we reached after our meeting as the executive. We are also going ahead to play in division one after relegation and that is where our efforts will be as a club,” he said.

City were relegated at the end of the season, a development that was shocking considering the depth of their squad.
