Caps United owner Farai Jere on Team’s lack of discipline

Caps United President Farai Jere is disappointed by the continued discipline by his team which sees the Green Machine become the most ill-disciplined team in the 2017 Castle Lager Premiership for the second successive year.

The coach’s ill tamper cost the team $3000 for failing to attend to mandatory post match interviews, a case Jere feels it was unnecessary loss of funds that could have been channelled to other pressing issues.

“It’s very disturbing when you have to lose funds from your league prize money because it has been deducted through fines that could have been easily avoided.

“The funds could have gone to pay some of the players whom we owe money,” Jere told Sportzone.co.zw.

Caps United accumulated a total of 450 points on disciplinary fines where 10 points are awarded for fines below $500 and fines above that gets 30 points. The Green then made a total of 650 points after other points are added on red cards ad yellow cards.

Triangle emerged as the most disciplined team with 185 points.
