Holidays have long been made for sports. Football has all but replaced the Rice and Chicken as the signature of Christmas. It’s almost as if games are now an excuse for holidays, rather than the other way around.
While other leagues across the globe take a break during the festive season in England it is a full fixture program with Boxing day matches.
Despite the festive season break, there are several Zimbabweans that will be involved in league action overseas.
In Belgium, Marvelous Nakamba will today be in action as his log topping Club Brugge will play against Royal Excel Mouscron. Knowledge Musona will be in action 24 hours later hoping he continues with his goal scoring form against Genk.
In England, the British Brigade duo of Tendayi Darikwa and Macauley Bonne will be in action on boxing day. Darikwa’s championship side Nottingham Forest will be in action against Sheffield Wednesday while Bonne’s National League side play host to Dagenham.
