FC Platinum signs Cameroonian teen

FC Platinum have reportedly signed Cameroonian teenager Albert Eonde on a two-year contract.

According to NewsDay, Eonde signed the deal with the reigning champions before the Christmas holiday.

“It’s a done deal, Albert Eonde has signed a two-year contract,” an unnamed source told the newspaper.

“He went to Harare for the Christmas holiday soon after signing the contract. He will be going back to Zvishavane this week.”

Eonde arrived in the country two weeks ago with his handlers claiming the 19-year-old netted 16 goals in the 32 matches during a short stint with Cameroonian league giants CotonSport Garoua. He also scored 19 goals playing for second-tier club Vitre FC.

Meanwhile, the league champions have so far signed Black Rhinos right-back Jameson Mukombwe on a one-year loan contract and they have also been linked with a move for ZPC Kariba’s Never Tigere and Ngezi Platinum midfielder Liberty Chakoroma.
