810 not out: How Arsene Wenger’s record compares to Sir Alex Ferguson’s record

Arsene Wenger will equal Sir Alex Ferguson’s record for most games as a Premier League manager when Arsenal take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Frenchman’s 810th game since taking charge of the Gunners in 1996 moves him alongside the long-serving former Manchester United boss.

Wenger has three EPL titles to his name and the most memorable came in the ‘Invincibles’ season of 03-04, where his side didn’t lose a game on the way to winning the title. He also won seven FA Cups and is the only coach in history to achieve that feat. Another biggest highlight of his career was reaching the 2006 UEFA Champions League final.

However, that can’t be matched with Ferguson’s records.

The former United boss won 13 Premier League titles in the space of 27 years. The Scottish also have two UEFA Champions League titles which he won in 1999 and 2008.

Here is a comparison of Wenger and Ferguson’s League records.
