FC Platinum have strengthened their squad with the signing of Zambian striker Shadreck Mayembe.
Mayembe becomes the second foreigner to join the Pure Platinum Play ahead of tomorrow’s CAF Champions League registration deadline after Cameroonian teenager Albert Eonde signed a contract before Christmas holiday.
Mapeza is assembling a strong squad that will compete in the Champions League. He has already added defenders Never Tigere and Jameson Mukombwe.
The club is still assessing Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Dauda and, should he impress, the miners still have an opportunity to register him before the second deadline on January 15.
Meanwhile, according to reports, veteran striker Takesure Chinyama is set to be offloaded as FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza clears out extra baggage at the club to make way for new signings.
