Uganda names Frenchman Desabre as new coach

Frenchman Sebastien Desabre has been named Uganda head coach on a three-year contract.

He replaces Serbian Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic who resigned a few months ago and has since signed for South African giants, Orlando Pirates.

Desabre was until recently at the helm of Egyptian club, Ismaily.

He was unveiled at a ceremony in Kampala on Thursday, 28 December 2017 after agreeing to terms with the Uganda Football Federation (FUFA).

Desabre beat other 93 applicants, and he will now supervise all the national development teams (U-23, U-20 and U-17).
