Dominic Mukandi eyes CAPS United return

Midfielder Dominic Mukandi is eyeing a return to CAPS United after being listed among those players to be released by Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Mukandi who left the Green Machine for Dynamos at the start of 2016, has been listed by the Tonderai Ndiraya coached side because of disciplinary issues. Another former CAPS player Washington Pakamisa is also on his way out of Madamburo while Patson Jaure is likely to leave as he seeks greener pastures outside the country.

A source at CAPS says the player has been in touch with the team’s hierarchy over a possible return.

“Remember when he left the club for Dynamos, coach Lloyd Chitembwe lamented his departure because he admires the player. So chances are very high that he will be welcomed back. Also, remember the future of other midfielders Devon Chafa and Moses Muchenje is still not clear,” said the source.

The Harare giants have also been linked with Chapungu United trio of captain Collen Kwaramba, wingers Ian Nyoni and Blessing Sahondo.

FC Platinum reject Brian Muzondiwa is reported to be on his way to Makepekepe. The 2016 champions have already lost striker Dominic Chungwa to Polokwane City in the South African premier league and goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda to first division side Witbank Spurs.
