More EPL coaches to visit Zim: Nyoni

BN Academy director Bhekimpilo Nyoni says the country should brace itself for more English Premier League coaches, following a successful trip by West Bromwich Albion academy coach Ahmed Ali.

Ali, together with Zimbabwe-UK U17 coach Trevor Mazhande held a coaching clinic which attracted more than 300 participants in Harare.

Speaking to The Sunday Mail, Nyoni believes the successful four-day coaching clinic was the beginning of a new era.

“This was the beginning of a new era for our football, and after the duo held a successful coaching clinic, we are looking forward to more visits by top coaches from the developed world,” he said.

“The programme seeks to benefit coaches and players on the modern trends of football so that we develop well-equipped players who can easily break into the top leagues, and that can only be done through conducting such clinics for the kids.”

Four players from BN Academy have acquired scholarships following a visit to England by Nyoni last August.
