Gorogodyo Leaves Dynamos

Utility player Simbarashe Gorogodyo becomes the first player to join ZPC Kariba under new coach Godfrey Tamirepi.

Gorogodyo who saw little action at Dynamos last season, was on Sunday presented to the club at the unveiling ceremony of Tamirepi and his assistants Mebelo Njekwa, Chenjerai Dube and team manager Kennedy Nagoli.

“I received a call from coach Tamirepi saying he wanted to give me game time. So as a person who wasn’t getting game time, I grabbed the opportunity. I need to revive my career, and I see this as a big opportunity,” said Gorogodyo.

Speaking at the same event, Tamirepi promised to revive ZPC Kariba’s fortunes.

“I can’t say much at the moment, but I am here to play entertaining football which has results. Here is one of the players who will be joining us (Gorogodyo) and you can also come for tomorrow’s training session and see more players coming,” said Tamirepi.

The Zimbabwe U23 coach who was an assistant at Triangle returns to the club after nearly lifting the league deputising Saul Chaminuka in 2014 in ZPC Kariba’s maiden season.
