Pasuwa ready to take offers

Former national team coach Callisto Pasuwa revealed yesterday that he is now on a job-hunting mission and prepared to take offers.

Pasuwa decided to take a break from coaching after the Warriors failed to reach the knockout stages at the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

The coach who won successive Premiership titles with Dynamos between 2011-2014 had ignored overtures from local and foreign clubs including those from Tanzania and Malawi.

But the 47-year old revealed to The Herald his intentions to bounce back.

“I announced last year that I was taking a break from football to have more time with my family and friends. I now think I have done that and I am ready to take offers,” Pasuwa said.

“I was so much under pressure after that African Cup of Nations last year. Obviously, I needed a break from the game to refresh my mind. But I feel I have had enough of the sabbatical, and I need to come back now.”

Pasuwa has been linked with several clubs, with the Malawian champions BeForward Wanderers being the latest club to show their interest. Tanzanian giants SC Simba have also previously expressed interest in the coach’s services.
