Defender Ian Nekati has set his sights on rejoining Caps United after snubbing a new contract offer at FC Platinum.

Nekati, a CAPS United juniors product refused a new contract at FC Platinum claiming the club didn’t want to increase his salary and the sign on fee.

The defender refused to talk about his next destination saying the matter was being handled by his manager but a source says Makepekepe, who are reinforcing after losing some key players are very much keen on the player.

“He is heading to CAPS United if all goes well. Negotiations have already started, and the club is close to the player’s heart having played for it at a junior level,” said the source.

Another former FC Platinum player, Brian Muzondiwa joined the Green Machine a few days on a two-year contract.
