Zimbabwean striker Nyasha Mushekwi has emerged as the only foreign player in his Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang led by China’s Ma Lin.

Dalian Yifang released Ivorian striker Yannick Boli who scored 16 goals in 24 matches last season in League One as they gained promotion into the big league. The club will not renew with Argentine defender Jonathan Ferrari leaving the Zimbabwean as the only foreigner in the team.

Several media outlets suggests that Ma Lin is opening the foreign quota for the team to acquire new players as they seek to bolster squad for the upcoming 2018 Super League season.

Despite helping the club gain promotion into the super league, Former Real Madrid coach Jose Ramon Lopes Caro was replaced as head coach of promoted Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, with the club bringing in Ma Lin.
