FC Platinum confident of hosting CAF C.L games at Mandava

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza is confident that they will host their CAF champions league games at Mandava Stadium.

Pure Platinum Play begin their champions league campaign away in Angola against Desportivo Lero Agosto on the weekend of February 9-11.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Mapeza said the chances of playing in Zvishavane are very high.

“The CAF official was in the country last week and from what I heard 90% of everything is fine. The chances of us using Mandava are very high,” said the gaffer.

“But if we can’t use Mandava, we have decided as a club to use Barbourfields Stadium. In case we manage to progress to the group stages, there is a chance that we might play some of our games in Bulawayo. We can’t play in Harare.”

Meanwhile, the reigning Zimbabwe champions unveiled their new signings which include Cameroonian Albert Eonde and Zambian Shadreck Mayembe.
