Manica Diamond Offers Mukamba A Lifeline

Ambitious Eastern Region Division 1 league side Manica Diamond is offering Dynamos’ ‘bad boy’ Denver Mukamba a lifeline to resuscitate his career far from the media glare in Harare.

Dynamos offloaded Mukamba but are in a dilemma as the player still has six months left on his contract and loaning him out is the only viable option to avoid continuing paying the player without him playing.

A source at Manica Diamond says coach Luke Masomere, the self-proclaimed ‘Doctor of football’ believes he can rehabilitate Mukamba and make his return to his best which saw him being named soccer star of the year in 2011.

“Denver met with Manica Diamond officials on Wednesday in Harare. They want to offer him an escape route from the problems he is facing at the moment including addiction to drugs. Coach Luke Masomere believes he can change him to be a good player he once was before his departure for South Africa,” said the source.

Mukamba has been forced to watch from the terraces as Dynamos begins the 2018 season preparations with the technical team still adamant that the player doesn’t have a future at the club.

The Glamour Boys have already signed exciting attacking midfielder Raphael Manuvire from ZPC Kariba, Russel Marufu, Jimmy Tigere who was unattached after being offloaded by Ngezi Platinum.
