Report: Maritzburg refuse to sell Rusike

Maritzburg United have reportedly turned down offers from Kaizer Chiefs for striker Evans Rusike.

According to The Citizen, a South African newspaper, Amakhosi are desperate to sign Rusike and Siphesihle Ndlovu from United in this current transfer window.

“Chiefs have made offers for the duo and even offered (Keagan) Buchanan and other players in the deals, but Maritzburg are not budging. That is why they have now publicly renounced their interest in Buchanan because they felt Chiefs took that as an invite to also make demands,” a source told the newspaper.

Rusike has also been linked with several clubs including Orlando Pirates. Last week, Maritzburg’s chairman Farook Kadodia revealed that he received enquiries from overseas about the player.
