Newly appointed Highlanders technical manager Madinda Ndlovu says the decision to promote their juniors into the senior team is a long-term solution in restoring a vibrant junior policy at the club.

Bosso revealed that they were not going to hold trials this season but will get the bulk of their players from the developmental sides – Highlanders Under 18 and Division one side Bosso 90.

Speaking at a press conference, Madinda said they are working on the club’s vision of bolstering their junior policy.

“The idea is to try and get back to the correct path, and bring back the Highlanders tradition.

“We are looking at a long-term solution, and we want to put in place a mechanism which will guide anyone who will take over so that the culture is not derailed,”  he said.

The Bulawayo giants have already begun their preparations ahead of the 2018 season. The campaign is set to start on Saturday, March, 10.
