Ndoro dropped amid eligibility investigation

Ajax Cape Town has reportedly dropped Tendai Ndoro out of the squad that will face Free State Stars tonight amid eligibility investigation.

According to Soccer Laduma, a South African football website, Ndoro’s transfer to Ajax contravened FIFA’s rules which state that a player may be registered for three teams in a single season, but only play for two.

The Zimbabwe international previously played for Orlando Pirates and Al Faisaly in Saudi Arabia before he moved to Cape Town.

He has already featured in Ajax’s two games.

An investigation is now underway, and there is a possibility of a fine or point deduction for Muhsin Ertugral’s side.
