The long wait is finally over the uncertainty on where FC Platinum’s future home matches shall be hosted is no more and its now official Mandava stadium in Zvishavane conforms to FIFA standards.
FC Platinun can finally play all their home matches at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane after Caf gave them an all-clear this week.
FC Platinum will now host Angola’s Desportivo de Agosto in the Caf Champions League from Mandava in the second leg in February.
ZIFA Spokesperson says confirmation was delivered on Wednesday by Caf competitions department after they toured and made final recommendations with Caf inspector Kabelo Doslong of South Africa earlier.
“CAF has been impressed by Mandava Stadium and they have allowed FC Platinum to use the venue for their Champions League home matches. CAF also certified the facilities in Zvishavane that they have the capacity to host high profile delegates who will accompany these teams,” said ZIFA communications and competitions manager Xolisani Gwesela.
