Highlanders coach Madinda Ndlovu says he has been impressed with progress in the preparations for the 2018 season.
Bosso have assembled a new youthful squad with the majority of its players coming from their junior teams.
Speaking at a press conference, Ndlovu said his team has been responding well, and they are starting to organise friendly matches.
“It (the preparations) has been good. The boys are responding well and what is left is now is to see whether they stand the heat,” Madinda said.
“We are entering a stage where we are starting to organise the friendly matches. That’s only where we can tell whether we are ready to compete. You measure your strength by playing others.”
Meanwhile, the Bulawayo giants will play a practice match today at Barbourfields Stadium against Talen Vision FC. They are planning another pre-season friendly set for this weekend.
Highlanders are also set to play Chicken Inn in the ZNA Charity Shield semi-final at Emagumeni on the 18th of February.
