Zim players abroad round-up

It was a relatively quiet weekend for Zimbabwean players based abroad.

Nottingham Forest defender Tendai Darikwa and KV Oostende’s Knowledge Musona did not play during the weekend.

Musona is still out with an injury he picked three weeks ago while Darikwa was an unused substitute when his team lost 2-0 to Hull City.

Kundai Benyu seems to be struggling again at his new club Oldham Athletic.

The 20-year-old Celtic loanee was on the bench on Saturday and has now been an unused sub in Oldham’s last four fixtures. In his most recent outing, the 3-0 loss at Peterborough in late January, he was subbed off on the hour.

However, Marvelous Nakamba and Macauley Bonne were in the starting eleven of their respective teams.

Nakamba played the whole ninety minutes when Club Brugge drew 1-1 against Waasland-Beveren on Sunday. Bonne also featured for Leyton Orient and was involved in his side’s equaliser six minutes into the second half.
