ZIFA passes resolutions as Peter Dube ban is lifted

The Zimbabwe Football Association held its 2017 Annual General Meeting on the 17th of February 2018 in Harare.

During the meeting, the congress resolved to lift the suspension of former Highlanders chairman Peter Dube with immediate effect.

Dube was banned in 2016 together with Ndumiso Gumede.

The sponsorship for Division One and provincial leagues was also announced.

Some of the resolutions made are:

-The congress noted that Cecilia Gambe has served her suspension.
-The congress ratified the 2016 Audited financial statements.
-The congress adopted the 2017 budget.
-The congress approved the appointments of the Electoral Committee and an Appeals Committee whose names will be publicised in due course.
-The congress voted unanimously to have the electoral code amended subject to FIFA approval.
-The congress adopted the amendment in the ZIFA constitution of the size of the Premier Soccer League in the ZIFA council from 16 to 18 teams.
-The congress noted and ratified the partnership deal which was agreed to between the ZIFA president and La Liga.
-The congress re-appointed Baker Tilly Gwatidzo as 2017 External auditors.
-The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is moving as a united front.
