Chafa’s BuildCon Deal Imminent

Out of contract  midfielder, Devon Chafa is set to be the latest Zimbabwean to migrate north to the Zambian League with a deal to sign for megabucks club BuildCon very close.

Chafa has been linked with both Dynamos and Caps United after failing to make the grade in Egypt where he had gone for trials, but the coming of BuildCon on the horizon provided Chafa with opportune chance to break into a foreign club.

BuildCon Secretary General Ricky Mamfunda confirmed that club is really interested in Chafa.

“Yes, it’s true that we are interested in Chafa. I think a deal can be done this coming week. I can’t say much as I would prefer the coach to speak on matters of the technical team and mine is administrative,” said Mamfunda.

If he signs, Chafa will be the fourth Zimbabwean at BuildCon after the club signed Tatenda Mukuruva, Nqobizitha Masuku and Patson Jaure.

Meanwhile, the Zambian side is in Zimbabwe up to the 3rd of March and is expected to play friendly matches against giants Dynamos and Caps United as they prepare for 2018 Zambian which starts on March 19.
