Bulawayo Chiefs identify new coach

Bulawayo Chiefs have identified Garthly Chipuka for the post of head coach.

Chiefs were facing a coaching dilemma as Thulani Sibanda and his assistant Mduduzi Mpofu were ineligible since they are not holders of CAF A licence which is required by the ZIFA.

According to The Chronicle, the club’s secretary Dumisani Mantula-Sibanda said negotiations with Chipuka who have a CAF A coaching badge are at the advanced stage.

“Our prefered candidate for the position of head coach is Garthly Chipuka.  Thulani Sibanda recommended him to us, having worked with Chipuka in 2014 at Northen Region Division One league side ZRP FC.

“Chapuka has agreed to our offer and should be joining us once he is cleared at his workplace,” said Mantula-Sibanda.
