We Lost Out On Valuable Time: Mutasa

Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa says the Glamour Boys lost out on valuable time in their preparations for the forthcoming season after the players went on a 10-day strike demanding their outstanding dues.

The Glamour Boys were forced to field rookie players in last weekend’s 1-0 victory over Caps United in the ZNA Charity Shield semi-final match at the National Sports stadium.

“As a coach, you would want everything to go according to plan, but this was disturbed by the strike. We lost valuable time because it went for more than a week but such is football, there are some things that you can’t control,” said Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa.

The players were demanding their outstanding salaries and winning bonuses from last year. They also wanted to be paid their full salaries for the month of January.

The players only agreed to train after getting their January salaries and assurance from the executive that what they are owed from last year will be paid soon.
