We’re taking it like any training game says Madinda

Highlanders coach Madinda Ndlovu’s top priority is to see how his team is shaping up and wont be bothered by the outcome of Sunday’s ZNA Charities Shield final against Dynamos.

The two sides clash in the final of the ZNA Charities Shield on Sunday afternoon to firm up preparations ahead of the start of the Premier Soccer League.

The youthful Highlanders side who are rebuilding beat Chicken Inn 2-1 in the semi final with Adrian Silla and Peter Mudhuwa scoring for Bosso and Head coach Madinda Ndlovu says he is not concerned about the results but only focusing on testing players and systems.

“Obviously we want to win it but at the same time we are not reading much into the result. We’re taking it like any training game. This is not to say that the tournament is not important, but it allows us to work on certain areas in the team before the season gets underway. It is a game that will give us the opportunity to give players who didn’t get game time in the game against Chicken Inn, a chance.”, Ndlovu told the Chronicle.
