Bosso, CAPS to clash over the weekend

Highlanders and CAPS United are set to clash on Sunday in a Charity match which will also be used to celebrate the ascendancy of Kembo Mohadi to the post of Vice-President.

Bosso will also play  Bulawayo City in a friendly match on Saturday.

According to NewsDay, former ZIFA officials Vincent Pamire and Ndumiso Gumede are part of the committee that is organising the KCD Mohadi Shield.

“The KCD Mohadi Shield is going to be played at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday between Highlanders and CAPS United. We will host a dinner a week after the match to congratulate the vice-president and proceeds from both events go to charity in the city, and the vice-president will also be making a donation to Mpilo Central Hospital Cancer Unit and to the charitable organisations on March 11,” Pamire said.

Gumede also told the newspaper that $30 000 has been set aside for the tournament, but the organisers had not come up with the prize-money for the winners as yet.

Meanwhile, CAPS were supposed to feature in a four-team tournament, but they pulled out on Monday, leaving Dynamos and two Zambian sides Lusaka Dynamos and Power Dynamos to play against each other over the weekend.
