FC Platinum will play against city rivals Shabanie Mine in the final of Roy Mazingi Memorial Cup after thrashing Nichrut 4-1 in the second semi-final match played at Mandava Stadium.
Pure Platinum Play went into halftime leading 3-1. Farai Mupasiri opened the scoring as early as in the seventh minute before Lawrence Mhlanga doubled the lead five minutes later.
Nichrut pulled one back just after the half hour mark, but Gift Mbwete restored FC Platinum’s two-goal advantage a few moments before the break.
Marshall Mudehwe added another one on the midway point of the second half to seal the victory.
The final is set to be played at 15:45 today at Mandava Stadium.
