Shabanie Mine Advance to the Roy Mazingi Cup Final with 4-1 Win over Chapungu

Shabanie Mine booked their place in the final of the Roy Mazingi Memorial cup after beating Chapungu 4-1 at Mandava Stadium, on Saturday.

Three goals from starlet Mukuwe sent the Asbestos miners on their way, with Kambanje scoring the other goal in the first half.

Former Shabanie Mine winger Bruno Mtigo had grabbed an opening goal for the mourning Chapungu side who are remembering their late keeper Roy Mazingi who passed away earlier in the year.

The tournament though in memory for departed soul Roy Mazingi, is also used by the teams to prepare for the upcoming Premier League season set to start next week.

Shabanie have found goals easy to come by in this tournament, and this is an impressive victory that will boost confidence. The Young players will face the winner between FC Platinum and newboys Nichrut who play in the other semi final today.
