National broadcaster  ZBC TV might have acquired the rights to broadcast the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League starting with the 2018 season.

Although they didn’t confirm, a statement posted on their official Facebook page could have said it all.

The broadcasting rights were up for grabs after the PSL’s partnership with South African media giant SuperSport expired at the end of last year. The local football body announced in February to those interested in the rights to submit their bids.

The statement reads:

Catch all the action on ZBCtv with repeats on #ZTVSports.
The much awaited 2018 Castle Premier League fixtures have been released.
Reigning league champions FC Platinum kick-start action away as they date ZPC Kariba while fellow platinum miners Ngezi host new boys, Herentals.

According to the statement, ZBC TV will show the matches between Ngezi Platinum vs Herentals and FC Platinum vs ZPC Kariba during the opening weekend of the campaign next week.

Meanwhile, the PSL is yet to announce the official broadcaster of the Castle Lager Premier League for the next five years.
