Sunday Chidzambwa has announced the squad to represent the country in a four-nations tournament to be held in Zambia from March 22 to 25.

Other participating teams are South Africa, Angola and the hosts, Zambia.

There are some unfamiliar faces in the squad which include Adam Chicksen who plies his trade at Bradford City in England, Aleck Mudimu and Cliff Moyo who plays for Halifax. Also earning a first call to the squad is Orlando Pirates’ Marshall Munetsi and AmaZulu’s Butholezwe Ncube.

Silas Songani is making a return after a long spell without receiving a national team call-up.

Other notable players in the team are Tino Kadewere, Teenage Hadebe, Abbas Amidu, Evans Rusike and Marvelous Nakamba.

Knowledge Musona, Khama Billiat and Kuda Mahachi were dropped due to injuries. Britain-based Kundai Benyu, Tendai Darikwa and Admiral Muskwe are also not part of the squad. Macauley Bonne has been omitted despite his team Leyton Orient confirming his call-up.
