Take a close look at new Warriors midfielder Alec Mudimu

Sunday Chidzambwa included Alec Mudimu in his squad for the four-nation tournament to be held from 22-25 March in Ndola, Zambia.

The player earned his first call-up and is likely to make his debut for the Warriors in the tournament.

Mudimu is one of the many unfamiliar faces in the team, and Soccer24 take a close look at this European-based player.

Alec Mudimu was born in Zimbabwe on April 8, 1995. He plays for Cefn Druids AFC, a Welsh side in the top-flight league. He joined the club as a free agent in July last year from Stalybridge Celtic which is in the 7th tier of the English football league system. Mudimu recently signed a contract extension for next season with the club.

Early in his career, he turned out for other semi-professional sides Northwich Victoria and Stockport Town.

Since his arrival at Druids, the midfielder has made 23 league appearances and scoring six times. His goal which was an equaliser against T.N.S in February was nominated for ‘Goal of the month’.

His impressive performances have not gone without notice and recently went on a trial at English League One side Fleetwood. A number of other sides which include Rochdale (League One) have also expressed interest in the 22-year-old.
