Dynamos want strong start to season

Dynamos are hoping to break their unwanted tradition of starting their Premier Soccer League campaign slowly when they travel to face Chicken Inn in the competition’s opener in Bulawayo on Saturday .

The league is set to roll this weekend with a full set of fixtures dotted around the country.

The Bulawayo giants are known to start slowly and progress with time a scenario that has costed them the title by small margins.

Notorious for starting slowly, the Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa said they were desperate to break that tradition when they visit Chicken Inn in the tournament opener at Barbourfields Stadium.

“Of course, every game we play is a tight one, obviously because we represent a big institution called Dynamos,’’ Mutasa told the Herald.

“We are fully cognisant of the fact that we have been slow starters for a couple of seasons now. We have been very bad, especially in the opening stages, especially the first game.

“We want to change that now. Of course, Chicken Inn are a very good team and we have always found the going tough when we play against them,” he added.
