The Zimbabwe Football Association president Philip Chiyangwa says he resolved a dispute between Ace Ncobo and current SAFA president Dr Danny Jordaan because it was important for him to intervene.

Chiyangwa was tasked by FIFA on his capacity as COSAFA boss to mediate between Ncobo and Jordan who were embroiled in an electoral dispute.

“My philosophy has been about peace. You can’t fight with your own people if you want to advance football, that’s why when I see a president fighting with his own members I immediately tell them to stop as fighting doesn’t grow football,” Chiyangwa told Soccer Laduma.

“That’s why it was important for me to intervene and resolve the matter between Ace and Jordaan,”

Meanwhile, SAFA’s Elective Congress is expected to proceed as planned on 24 March 2018 where Jordaan is expected to be voted as SAFA president for another term.
