League title favourites Dynamos and Chicken Inn are meeting in the league opener in what heralds the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 1 fixtures.

The former Champions will be meeting in a repeat of the 2016 season when the teams opened together again, however with Chicken Inn managing to complete a memorable double over the Harare giants.

In that season Chicken Inn walloped Dynamos 3 nil before winning the penultimate last game of the season 3-2.

However Dynamos responded in the 2017 season winning 1 nil in the first encounter before playing a goalless second leg.

Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa has lamented over the team’s poor start to the league and has targeted to start stronger going into the match with a strong line up.

To their credit both teams have managed to maintain the bulk of their players coming into the new season.

Chicken Inn now under the watchful eye of Coach Joey Antipas has said he will take the game cautiously knowing what the Harare giants are capable of.

However, Dynamos face the prospect of playing without their top marksman Christian Ntouba Epoupa who is battling with the club hierarchy to try and get his outstanding dues amounting to $16,000 including signing on fees as well as salaries and allowances.

Dynamos will also miss Peace Mahaka and Emmanuel Mandiranga due to injury.
