Kaitano Tembo and other Zimbabweans at SuperSport United secured a CAF Confederation Cup play-offs place following a 2-1 home victory over Petro Atletico of Angola on Friday night.

Thabo Mnyamane scored two late goals to complete a sensational comeback after the visitors had grabbed a lead a few moments into the second-half.

Tembo was in charge of his third match since taking over as caretaker coach from Eric Tinkler who stepped down two weeks ago.

Fullback Onismor Bhasera was in the first XI and played the whole ninety minutes. However, he was the only Zimbabwean player in the squad on Friday. Kingston Nkhatha was not part of the team while striker Evans Rusike is not registered to play in the competition.
