Zim born youngster in England U-19 squad

Zimbabwean born Ipswich Town youngster Tristan Nydam has been included in England Under-19 squad for the European Championships qualifying mini-tournament in Macedonia later this month.

Nydam, 18, has previously won one England U19s cap .

The midfielder was born in Zimbabwe but later migrated to UK.

In November last year, Nydam revealed to TWTD, a football website, his intention to represent England at senior level.

“Going forward, it’s going to be England and the three Lions. I was born in Zimbabwe and lived there until I was seven when we moved over here.

Nonetheless, he can still play for Zimbabwe at international level and ZIFA have claimed that they were trying to lure him together with other Zimbabwean born stars to play for the Warriors.
