Madinda heaps praises on youngsters

Highlanders technical manager Madinda Ndlovu showered praises to his youthful charges after edging Dynamos 1-0 in a match played at Rufaro Stadium on Monday.

The Bulawayo Giants managed to hold on and picked a vital away win courtesy of a goal from Ozias Zibande a few seconds before the break.

In a post-match interview, Madinda said his charges followed the strategy they had planned before the game and managed to defend the goal they scored in the first half.

“Dynamos played very well, they are a good team but I think luck was not on their side,” he said.

“I think both teams were evenly balanced in terms of tactics. But from the start, we had a strategy that if you listen to the teacher then you will get a correct answer. So basically this is the correct answer I meant to get from my boys.

“When the pressure was mounting in the second half, towards the end of the game, they kept holding on, and defended well to protect that goal.”

Highlanders are now in the fourth position with ten points, two behind log leaders Ngezi Platinum who are yet to drop points this season.
