Liverpool and Manchester City meet for the first time in an international competition in the Uefa Champions League quarterfinals tonight.

The Reds have reached this stage of the competition for the first time since 2008. As for City, this is their only second European Cup quarterfinal.

The home team will miss Adam Lallana, Ragnar Klavan, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip due to injuries.

Nathaniel Clyne has not played for the first team this season due to a back injury – although he has been added to Liverpool’s Champions League squad and was an unused substitute at Palace.

On the other hand, Sergio Agüero has been ruled out of the tie after picking up a knock while left-back Fabian Delph is available

The match kicks off at 20:45.

In another quarter-final match to be played tonight, Barcelona host Roma.
