S.A based Zim players round-up

Khama Billiat played his second match on Wednesday after returning from injury.

The 27-year-old found the back of the net in the 81st minute to help his Mamelodi Sundowns cruise to a 2-0 over Chippa United. Billiat was subbed off in the in the injury time.

Kaizer Chiefs’ Teenage Hadebe was also on target last night, scoring the winning goal against Free State Stars.

The defender headed home a Siphiwe Tshabalala set piece on the stroke of full-time to break the deadlock. This was his first goal since joining the Soweto Giants at the start of the ABSA Premiership season.

Hadebe together with team-mate Willard Katsande who also had a decent game received yellow cards during the match.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi featured in the 2-1 victory over Ronald Pfumbidzai’s Bloemfontein Celtic.

Munetsi did not finish the game as he came off in the 58th minute. Pfumbidzai played the whole ninety minutes.

Walter Musona and George Chigova were in the first XI of Polokwane City against SuperSport United last night, but former CAPS United striker Dominic Chungwa was not part of the squad. On the other hand, Onismor Bhasera and Evans Rusike played ninety minutes while Kingston Nkhatha came on as a sub just after the hour mark.

Butholezwe Ncube was again booked when AmaZulu beat Ajax Cape Town 2-1. The midfielder has continued to receive cards despite returning from a red-card suspension last month. Team-mate Ovidy Karuru was also in action and played the whole game.

Ajax’s Tendai Ndoro did not play following a SAFA order to bar him until his eligibility case is solved.

Talent Chawapiwa of Baroka FC also took part in the mid-week action.
