Dynamos’ Mutasa cautious of bottom-placed ZPC Kariba

It will be a case of bottom versus bottom in the Castle Lager top-flight on Saturday as low-flying ZPC Kariba welcome equally lowly Dynamos to Nyamhunga Stadium for a match both teams are desperate to win.

Dynamos are going through their toughest phase having failed to win match in their opening 4 fixtures only managing a point in their 3-3 draw against Shabanie. Spectacularly the hosts ZPC Kariba anchor the log standings after failing to pick up a point having zero points and ironically the only team bettered by Dynamos pathetic showing.

While football fans may be tempted to think this Dynamos’ easiest chance to pick up their first win, coach Lloyd Mutasa thinks otherwise.

Mutasa says they will not underrate ZPC Kariba and will approach the match seriously.

Despite being at the bottom of the table, ZPC Kariba is a very hard working team and might surprise them with a good game if don’t take them seriously, Mutasa told the Herald.

“We hope what we have done here will be reflected in Kariba. It’s not a secret that we are going there to fight for results. It’s going to be a tough match as you know ZPC Kariba are also equally struggling and they are likely to approach the match the same way we will.

“They could be fancying their chances of picking their first set of three points,. which is also our goal. So it is not going to be easy.

“Of course, we have always said every team that plays Dynamos wants to win. They are motivated just by the mere fact that they would be playing DeMbare. That makes each and every match that we play very tough.’’ said Mutasa.

No doubt the match will be a cracker as the strugglers have an opportunity to prove against each other. The fact that ZPC Kariba is at the bottom they will want to prove that they are good enough to remain in the league. They will also up their game when playing against big teams.
